Yet Another Early Contender for Miss of the Season: Ola Kamara (Stromsgodset) vs Odd Grenland

The 2010/11 season has barely begun but already the race for worst miss of the year is heating up.

Colorado Rapids forward Conor Casey got the contest rolling with his effort against the KC Wizards, which was followed up by the high profile fluff from Santoss star forward Robinho.

This weekend though a new contender threw his name into the hat in the Norwegian first division, in the match between Odd Grenland and Stromsgodset. Godset lost 2-nil however it could have all been different had forward Ola Kamara not screwed up so horrifically.

The action started when midfielder Oyvind Storflor raced down the right hand side and whipped a delicious cross into Fredrik Nordkvelles path in the six yard box. Under pressure from a goal-side defender, Nordkvelle instinctively flung out his right boot to connect with the ball and, like a deadly centre-forward, he connected sweetly to send his effort goalwards.

That forced home keeper Arsen into a reflex save on his goalline, but the goalie was only able to parry to ball up in the air where Kamara was standing no more than two and a half feet from the empty net.

All he had to do was nod the ball home. It was a doddle. Easy peasy. Simple. Youre granny would have scored!

But, as you have worked out by now, Ola Kamara ballsed-up his header like an absolute pillock!
