Mexican striker Javier Hernandezs career is approaching lift-off with Manchester United in Houston this evening (excuse the pun).

The MLS All Stars-Manchester United friendly match this evening is set to feature Hernandez who impressed with two goals at the World Cup where he was named as statistically the quickest player at the tournament.

Manchester Uniteds final game of the USA tour on Friday will see them face Hernandezs old club Chivas withEl Chicaritoplaying one half for each side.

Much has been made of Manchester Uniteds debt problems and its impact on Sir Alex Fergusons spending but if Javier Hernandez turns out to be a bargain it is unlikely anyone will be too bothered that the biggest club in England couldnt afford David Villa or Karim Benzema.
