Club America 1 - Manchester City 1* (Penalties. 1-4) (Pre-season friendly, July 29, 2010) Following a foul on Adam Johnson in the box, Emmanuel Adebayor fired Manchester City in front nine minutes before the break. The home side levelled the match two minutes after half-time through Enrique Esqueda who capitalised on a long ball over the top.

Manchester City scored all four of their penalties, through Emmanuel Adebayor, Jo, Vladimir Weiss and Patrick Vieira. Padro Pavel was Club Americas only scorer with Shay Given saving two.
