Arsenal Kyiv 1 - Shakhtar Donetsk 3 (Ukrainian Premier League, July 30, 2010) A stunning 35-yard ripper from Sergey Simonenko blasted Arsenal ahead on the half hour. Shakhtar pulled level minutes before the break when a quick free-kick was finished by 19-year-old starlet Douglas Costa, and in first half injury time Douglas Costa bagged his second of the game with a powerful arching set-play that nestled in the far top corner. Shakhtar completed the turnaround within two minutes of the restart as Adriano Luiz scored in the six yard box from a low right wing cross.

Vaslui 1 - Targu Mures 1 (Liga I, July 30, 2010) Roman Dan turned home a 20th minute free-! kick to put Targu ahead, Gladstone netting a 90th minute leveller for Vaslui.
