Strong-Armed: Gerrard elbows Welbeck (Liverpool-Sunderland) & Chamakh strangles Jara (Arsenal-WBA)
Two physical fouls from Saturday in the Premier League.
You never want to believe that a player would purposefully knock out an opponent, but the slow-motion on the following video leaves Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard with some explaining to do.
During the match with Sunderland at Anfield on Saturday, on-loan Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck took a painful knock to his face from Stevie G. After Welbeck wriggled away from Kuyts clutches with a neat bit of skill, the Red Devil took a smack to his kisser when Gerrards elbow connected with full force.

Over in London there was more man-handling in the match between Arsenal and West Brom and on this occasion there was little defence for Gunner forward Marouane Chamakh.
With the referee blowing up just after the half hour, the Moroccan striker found himself grappling with Baggies full-back Gonzalo Jara. Rather than just walking away from the situation though, Chamakh refused to let go of his opponent, and instead in chocked him and he squeezed his forearm across Jaras throat.
