Villarreal 1 Deportivo La Coruna 0 (La Liga, September 23, 2010) Brazilian striker Nilmar fired Villarreal into the lead at home against Deportivo La Coruna just after the half hour.

Getafe 0 Malaga 2 (La Liga, September 23, 2010) Malaga claimed all three points through Jose Gimenez and a penalty from Apono, both goals coming in the second half.
