VIDEO: On the chopping block, Liverpools Daniel Pacheco scores a solo stunner against Everton reserves

One of the big transfer rumours this Thursday surrounds the firesale Liverpool hope to administer this January.

The Scousers face a crossroads this winter following the sale of the club to the New England Sports Venture group. Liverpools difficult start to the season coupled with the new ideas of the new American owners means chatter is circulating that heads will roll in the winter transfer window. Those seemingly destined for the exit door in Ryan Babel, Milan Jovanovic, Daniel Agger and Spanish wonderkid Daniel Pacheco.

That Pacheco is deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield may be somewhat of a shock. In fact the reality is more likely that the youngster is forcing a move away from Liverpool rather than the other way around.

The summer of 2010 showed Pachecos coming of age. The teenager was crowned top goalscorer at the UEFA Under-19 Championships, despite Spain losing out to France in the final of the tournament. Pacheco netted five goals during the competition and the striker was quick to make it clear that he had little intention of sticking around at Liverpool if first team chances were not coming his way.

Back at the of July Pacheco made his feelings crystal clear. Id like to play in La Liga. Above all I want game time or to fight for game time. In Liverpool I wont get this opportunity and I would love to have it. Right now the club are signing people and I dont think I will have opportunities. At 19-years-old the most important thing is to continue progressing.

Fast forward to this week, and Pacheco has again shown his quality by scoring a terrific solo effort for Liverpools reserves in their 1-all draw with city rivals Everton.

There was more than a shade of Fernando Torres in Pachecos opener in the 22nd minute. The attacker received the ball f! rom Gera rdo Burners quick free-kick before twisting his way into the area before beating Iain Turner in the Everton goal from close range with a delightful chipped finish.

Liverpools lead last only briefly however. Everton quickly levelled when Victor Anichebe powered his way into the area and slotted the ball under Martin Hansen.
