Wellington Phoenix 2 Central Coast Mariners 0 (A-League, August 22, 2010) The Wellington Phoenix beat the Central Coast Mariners thanks to goals from Leo Bertos and Paul Ifill (terrific finish), stretching their unbeaten home streak to 21 matches.

Melbourne Victory 2 North Queensland Fury 2 (A-League, August 22, 2010) Eugene Sseppuya put the Fury in front after 16 minutes but things quickly unravelled when they were reduced to 10 men shortly before the half hour as Grossman was dismissed for a challenge on Robbie Kruse inside the area and Kevin Muscat then stepped up and scored the resulting penalty. Muscat scored his second penalty 15 minutes from time but the game ended dramatically as Eric Akoto saw red to leave the Fury with nine men seconds before Chris Payne converted an equalising penalty.

Brisbane Roar 1 Sydney FC 0 (A-League, August 21, 2010) Matt McKay grabbed the games only goal seven minutes into the second half at Lang Park to hand the Roar their first win of the campaign.

Perth Glory 1 Newcastle Jets 0 (A-League, August 22, 2010) The Glory struck just before the break when substitute Branko Jelic chested home from close range after Todd Howarths rasping volley was parried into his path by Jets keeper Ben Kennedy.
