Tackle of the Week: Paul Scholes & Ryan Giggs (Manchester United) vs Scott Parker (West Ham)

Following Arsene Wengers comments last week that Paul Scholes has a darker side, namely his tackling, all eyes were focused on the ginger legend on Saturday night in Manchester Uniteds 3-nil hammering of West Ham.

But rather than commit a noticeable foul, Scholes worked in tandem with fellow Red Devil legend Ryan Giggs to pull off a sublime double sliding tackle on West Hams Scott Parker.

As the Hammer advanced through the middle of the pitch as the halftime whistle approached, Scholes and Giggs collectively homed in on their opponent like a couple of predators waiting to pounce. And when the moment presented itself, the duo both slid in on their prey before Giggs got up with possession back in his control.

Not only did the pair perform their double tackle to perfection, but Giggss pass to Luis Nani straight after should have lead to Manchester Uniteds second of the game.
