Early Contender for Assist of the Season: Hassane Alla (Le Harve) vs Reims

Tuesday nights Coupe De La Ligue match between Reims and Le Harve was easily ignorable, but the unlikely setting provided one of the best pieces of footage of the new season as Hassane Alla conjured up a wonder assist to help break the deadlock.

The move started in the 33rd minute as forward Brice Jovial controlled a high ball on the right hand side. After a superb touch and a neat shift infield, Jovial played the ball to Hassane Alla looking for a quick give and go.

Jovial got the return ball he was craving, but only after Alla stole the moment with an outstanding flick-up/backheel-trick which bamboozled the home defence. Not only did the 29-year-old Moroccan pull off the showboat, but Allas precise pass found Jovial in the box and the striker made no mistake in finding the net.
