As is now becoming customary, Barcelona stormed out the blocks and won the tie within the first half. First Lionel Messi scored on 10 minutes, when the Almeria keeper should have done better. A minute later David Villa notched number two. Five minutes later it was 3-0, Lionel Messi curling home in typical style. After a three-goal blitz in 16 minutes, number four game on 31 with an excellent header from Pedro off a free-kick.
