Top 10 Goals of the Week

Where has 2010 gone?

All of a sudden we find ourselves putting together our final top 10 goals of the week in this calendar year, and despite the slim-lined fixture list over the past seven days again a collection of scorchers were scored over the past seven days.

We begin with a Barcelona-inspired move from Everton at spot one, followed by a 30-yard top corner howitzer from Israel which we suspect few will have seen. Keeping with the long ranger rippers, goal three serves up another missile from Turkey.

Position four sees a generally maligned striker make his case for playing time with a superb solo goal, while its back to the long-distance rockets at goal five as the crackers kept flying in across Europe.

Something a little different pops up at position six and the silkiest finish of the week comes into focus. Then, at number seven, we continue to see goals capped with a delightful piece of skill as the goalscorer in question nutmegged an opponent before curling his effort into the far corner.

A fine goal comes in at number eight as a team move is finished off with a solo slalom run and finish. Thats followed by a brilliant forwards goal from Belgium as a centre-forward showed how one can be a target man and a goal-scorer at the same time. Rounding off the list we have a world-class counter-attacking move that the best defences in the world would have struggled to contain.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, happy New Year, and most importantly that youre football team should win, all thats left to say is is sit back and enjoy!
