The Collective Miss of the Season: Veria FC vs Levadiakos

We usually flag up individual misses, but this is something a bit more special.

Last Monday night in the Greek second division saw Levadiakos play host to Veria in a match that the hosts won 1-nil. Veria however only had themselves to blame for not scoring as they collectively conspired miss the target in an amazing sequence of events. Shoot five efforts on target in the space of eight seconds, Veria fluffed every single one their opportunities.

Nikolaos Georgiadis started things off smacking his shot on the slide onto the post. The rebound fell to Serginho who made a complete hash of his supposed header at goal. Then the ball found its way to Dimitrios Machairas who cracked a shot on the bar from three yards out. Serginho then had another attempt at goal, only managing to hit the foot of the post. Finally Nikolaos Georgiadis killed the move by ballooning a shot over the bar from the edge of the six yard box.
