RTE rubbish England’s win over Slovenia


The RTE panel have outdone themselves yet again with some spectacularly critical analysis of England’s win over Slovenia.

It is a far cry from Fleet Street who have been gushing in their praise for the Three Lions in the aftermath of their victory. Eamon Dunphy, Johnny Giles and Ronnie Whelan laid into Fabio Capello and his side with almost every England player criticised bar John Terry.

Dunphy called England “poor” and described the game against Slovenia as “shocking.” He continued by saying the England performance was “absolutely incredibly bad.” The panel also criticised the interview skills of Gabby Logan and failed to find many positives bar the fact that the “soap opera continues.”

In contrast, another RTE panel of Dunphy again with Liam Brady and Dennis Irwin were a lot more positive about the USA, Landon Donovan and Bianca.
