New York Red Bulls 1 - Tottenham 2 (Barclays New York Challenge, July 23, 2010) In the seventh minute Spurs keeper Carlo Cudicini saved with his feet from Thierry Henry. The Red Bulls should have been one-up in the 13th minute, Richards fed Matt Kandji to slot into an open net but he missed a guilt-edged opportunity witha pathetic miskick. In the 25th minute Arsenal legend Thierry Henry did open the scoring with a cute finish from a Lindpere cross. Tottenham hit back at the start of the second half with Greg Sutton making saves from both Kranjcar and Keane. The Spurs equaliser duly arrived just after the hour, Robbie Keane finishing at the back post thanks to some poordefending all roundby the home side. Tottenham then took the lead in the 72nd minute, Huddlestone played a ball over the top for Gareth Bale who nipped in as Halls headed back pass fell short. There was a late let off for Spurs as Connor Chinn headed against Cudicinis bar.
