Individual Match Highlights: Tomas Rosicky (Arsenal) vs Sturm Graz
If all games were as easy as this, Tomas Rosicky would be pushing the likes of Wesley Sneijder to establish himself as one of the best passing midfielders in world football.
The former Czech international captain continued his pre-season workout with a solid forty-five minute display against Austrian minnows Sturm Graz on Wednesday night. After the Gunners had already built up a comfortable 2-nil lead at the break, Arsene Wenger introduced Rosicky as one of his seven halftime substitutes and in the balmy twilight the number seven had moments where he looked a world beater.
Whether spraying balls across the turf or keeping things more simple with no-nonsense ball retaining passes, head-up Rosicky always kept the momentum going in the centre of the park.
Rosicky also looked to provide some cutting edge in the Arsenal attack, a 71st minute shot on target his best effort on goal in an overall positive performance for the number seven.
The proof of whether Rosicky is really back to his former self though will arrive when the brittle midfielder receives his first crunching tackle of the new season.
