Rafa Benitez dodges sacking questions & Liverpool rumours, but brings reporters coffee
After being axed by Inter Milan earlier in the week after just six months in the job, speculation was rife on Wednesday that Rafa Benitez could return to Liverpool as the Spaniard returned to his home in Wirral.
Sniffing out the scoop, a gaggle of Sky Sports News reporters were forced to pitch up outside Benitezs home despite the freezing conditions.
Happily, though, in a nice Christmassy moment, Benitez emerged from his property with hot coffee in hand as he made the reporters job that much more bearable. After doing his good Samaritan deed however, Rafa ignored the Chinese whispers and headed straight back inside in property.
Footage of the Benitez-coffee moment can be seen here.

Benitez isnt the first manager to have pulled this gentlemanly tactic on Sky Sports News. Last season, after being sacked by West Ham, Gianfranco Zola refused to answer questions to reporters standing outside his house but instead he gave them complimentary cups of coffee as he looked to defuse the situation with a smile on his face.
That incident can be relived here.
