Athletic Bilbao coach Joaquin Caparros has a giggle at Pep Guardiolas expense
Its pretty hard to find much to laugh at Barcelona at these days. Instead most people generally sit back in awe at the Catalans nowadays as they destroy teams week in, week out in both the league and in Europe.
But during Barcas goalless draw with Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey on Tuesday night, visiting coach Joaquin Caparros managed to make fun of his opposite number Pep Guardiola in a remake of the famous Cristiano Ronaldo-Guardiola push episode of a few weeks back.
To recap for those with short term memories, during the recent El Clasico match which Barcelona won 5-nil over Real Madrid, one of the major flashpoints came when Guardiola refused to give C-Ron the ball back quickly enough after the ball had crossed the line for a throw-in. Upset at being starved of possession for a split-second, Ronaldo reacted with an angry push to Pep.
Accordingly, when the ball came to Joaquin Caparros on the sidelines the coach took the opportunity to have a bit of a giggle. Dani Alves tried to take the ball back smoothly off the Bilbao boss, but in turn he began juggling with the ball before eventually giving it back. Showing it was all done in jest, Caparros then offered a huge grin in Guardiolas direction.
