Danny Welbeck equalised for Sunderland just after twenty minutes with a near post poke after great work by Bolo Zenden. With twenty minutes remaining Danny Welbeck scored with a fine header from a Richardson cross only for Mikel Artetas deflected strike late on to leave the match all square.
