Galaxy clinch the Supporters Shield with 2-1 win over FC Dallas

The Los Angeles Galaxy started the season in first will end the season in first.

The Galaxy clinch the Supporters Shield with a 2-1 victory over FC Dallas in front of 24,993 at the Home Depot Center. Atiba Harris opened the scoring for Dallas with a header past Donovan Ricketts in the 22nd minute off a splendid pass from Eric Alexander. With th dreams of the Shield slipping away, it was Landon Donovan provided the spark for the Galaxy.

After appearing shoving Jackson Gonclaves to the ground and then sending a pass into David Beckham. Beckham fired the shot in from the top of the box to put LA level. The Galaxy would take the lead just moments after the start of the second half when Juninho fired a howler from 18-yards out that beat Dario Sala.

The Galaxy will now take on the Seattle Sounders on October 31st at 5pm PDT time at Qwest Field in Seattle. FC Dallas will host Real Salt Lake in their match on October 30th at 2:30 pm PDT.
