Ameobi double leads Newcastle to a famous win 4-3 at Chelsea; Manchester United make light of Scunny

The comeback was the fully on when, four minutes from time, Anelka notched his brace from the penalty spot after Alex won a soft call under a tackle from Williamson. Amazingly though it was the Toon who pulled out a last gasp winner, Shola Ameobi was the hero as he glanced a header into the corner of the net to claim a famous victory.

Scunthorpe 2 Manchester United 5 (Carling Cup, September 22, 2010) (Longer highlights) 20-year-old midfielder Josh Wright had a moment hell never forget when he gave Scunthorpe the lead against Manchester United with a fantastic right footed shot that pierced the top corner. Darron Gibson pegged Scunny back within four minutes, the young Irishman collected Smallings long ball down-field and produced a neat lob to finish. United asserted their superiority soon after when a foiled free-kick fell to Brown, he played in Park down the inside right channel and the South Koreans cross gave Chris Smalling his first goal for the Red Devils. (First half highlights) The game was over in the second half when Kiko Macheda played Michael Owen through down the middle and the legendary striker shot into the far corn! er for h is first goal of the season. It was then a question of how many when Park Ji-Sung added a fourth following a corner. Park set up number five in the 71st when he drove towards the penalty box and saw his effort parried into Michael Owens path and Little Mickey made no mistake from close range.
